Terms of Service

Last updated: 26 August 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Human Machines website and your purchase of HM01 - Vault (“Vault”). By placing an order or using Vault, you agree to these terms and the Software License Agreement.

1. The product

Vault is a desktop companion browser for Ableton Live. It is delivered digitally and requires a compatible Mac and supported Ableton Live installation. Compatibility may change as operating systems and Ableton Live change.

2. Purchase and delivery

Vault is sold as a one-time purchase with no subscription. Lemon Squeezy handles payment and digital delivery and may act as the merchant of record. After a successful purchase, the license key and download instructions are sent to the email address supplied at checkout. You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and keeping your license key private. If delivery fails, contact support@humanmachines.xyz.

3. License

Your right to use Vault is described in the Software License Agreement, including its activation limits, restrictions, and perpetual term.

4. No trial

Vault is sold without a trial version. Please review the product description and system requirements before purchasing. This does not limit any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

5. Refunds and consumer rights

Our Refund Policy explains the refund position. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer-protection rights. Where applicable law gives you a right to withdraw from a digital-content purchase, that right is handled according to the requirements of that law and the consent flow presented at checkout.

6. Updates and support

Updates released for Vault are included at no additional charge. They may require newer macOS or Ableton Live versions, change or remove features, or stop supporting older configurations. Human Machines may stop releasing updates in the future.

Support is available by email at support@humanmachines.xyz. We will make reasonable efforts to help with supported configurations, but do not promise a response time or compatibility with every third-party setup.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use the website or Vault to infringe another person’s rights, bypass license controls, distribute license keys, or interfere with the service. Additional software-use restrictions appear in the Software License Agreement.

8. Intellectual property

Human Machines and its licensors retain all rights in Vault, its user interface, documentation, branding, and other supplied materials except where a third-party license says otherwise. Your own audio, Ableton Sets, samples, and library content remain yours.

9. Third-party software and trademarks

Vault works with Ableton Live but is an independent product. Ableton and Live are trademarks of Ableton AG. Vault does not replace, modify, or include Ableton Live. Third-party software included with Vault may be subject to its own notices and license terms.

10. Changes

We may update these terms when the product, service, or law changes. The version that applied when you purchased Vault continues to govern that purchase except where a change is required by law or accepted by you.

11. Contact

For purchase, account, or service questions, contact support@humanmachines.xyz.
